Firefox already mentioned about their plans to bring the Metro version of Firefox Browser to the Windows 8 operating system a few weeks ago,since then they have been working hard on the Metro version of Firefox.
In a recent blog post Brian Bondy a Firefox programmer gave a glimpse of the prototype they have been working on for the Metro version of Firefox,showing how the Metro version of Firefox browser will look like.As you can see from the above screenshot which shows the Metro Tile for Firefox app.The prototype which they are currently working on is based on Fennec XUL code.

He also explained why it was necessary to build a Metro version for Firefox browser,
The Metro Version of Firefox is officially slated for Q2 2012 but Brian Feels that there is still lot of work to be done in terms of platform integration as well as some design questions.
It would be interesting to see how the other names in the browser market come up with their version of browsers with the likes of Opera,Chrome.
