Acer plans to release at least one device with the new version of the operating system. The company decided to continue to support Microsoft' mobile platform, Windows Phone, as rumor stated.
Microsoft is likely to announce Windows Phone 8 Apollo in October, though the information has yet to be confirmed,
The new device (Acer smartphone) based on Apollo platform would be launched by Dec., 2012. The phone is said to be positioned in the low-end category but it will be equipped with a dual core processor.
Away from that, we also heard the device will be called Acer W11 and that it will be among the first Windows Phone 8 Apollo devices launched on the market. Last but not least, Acer W11 will comes with a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard
