10 Companies Will support Intel Based Processors For Upcoming Windows 8 Tablets


For what we all know many of the biggies are gearing up for the Windows 8 launch later this year along with their version of Windows 8 based tablets.Though this time around the Intel’s and AMD’s are not the only processor makers since the announcement about ARM architecture based processors other ARM based companies are also lining up for their ARM based tablet.

According to recent reports from PCWorld, Intel,one of the prime sources for processors  for the  x86 architecture based machines is working with 10 undisclosed Chinese and global vendors to design Windows 8 tablets using the company’s chips.This is what  Intel China chairman Sean Maloney said , “You’ll probably see many Intel-based tablets by the end of this year”.
Intel is working on many new Chips for Smartphone and Tablet segment which would be revealed later this year,one of them is the new  Atom processor  code-named “Medfield” promises to give high performance along with a good battery life for Smartphones and Tablets.This chip would  soon be seen in Lenovo’s K800 handset which goes on sale next month in China.
The other and much anticipated chip is the intel’s Clover Trail which is expected to hit later this year.This chip would feature in the Intel based Windows 8 tablets slated to be released later this year.It would be interesting to see upto what extent the companies stretch the prices for the Windows 8 based tablets to get the better out of one another.
